2024 Fiori (Riesling/Pinot Gris/ Gewurztraminer/ Pinot Blanc)
2024 Fiori (Riesling/Pinot Gris/ Gewurztraminer/ Pinot Blanc)
A new addition to our “Forrest” label of wines which celebrate interesting blends from Canberra and surrounding regions. This is an exciting aromatic field blend of Riesling (60%), Pinot Gris (30%) from Lake George, Gewurztraminer (5%) off the Excelsior Ridge vineyard, plus a dollop of Pinot blanc from our own vineyard in Braidwood.
“Fiori” translates to flowers - very thoughtfully named given the delicate floral aroma that leaps from the glass. White flowers intertwine with orchard fruits, zesty lime and a hint of ginger and roses. Perfect to pair with south-east Asian inspired dishes

What the Reviewers are saying
“While a final blend of 60/30/5/5% riesling/pinot gris/gewürztraminer/pinot blanc, each variety is vinified separately. A pale yellow hue. An easy to like and drink style with a delicate fragrance of lemon blossom, ginger flower and freshly cut green apple. The palate is light and bright, juicy and tangy with just enough texture to round it nicely.”
“As per its name, this 2024 Fiori (flowers), an eclectic blend of Riesling, Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer and Pinot Blanc from Canberra and surrounding cool-climate regions, teases with initial wafts and twirls of rose petals.
However it’s the persistent top notes of Gewurztraminer’s (albeit with only 5% contribution) musk and rosewater that deliver the aromatic length of nose and palate.
Well supported by the crisp Riesling (60%) component and the lingering astringent cut-through of the Pinots, the resulting drop is subtly smooth yet grippy, refreshing and definitely food-friendly.
It’s a thoughtful blend of liveliness and interest... one to be shared and savoured.”
