2024 The Four Pinots (Gris, Noir, Meunier, Blanc)
2024 The Four Pinots (Gris, Noir, Meunier, Blanc)
This is a unique take on the pinot grape that straddles the line between orange and pink wine.
Pinot Gris (60%) sourced from Coppabella vineyard and Pinot Noir (25%) Pinot Meunier(10%) from Excelsior vineyard in Tumbarumba, with a splash of Pinot Blanc (5%) from our vineyard in Braidwood.
Grapes are fermented in small batches using a combination of old French oak and stainless steel to enhance texture, freshness and complexity. Pinot Gris gets some time on skins before pressing to add texture the Noir and Meunier are pressed gently leading the pink/orange colour in the wine
Dry and mouth watering with pink grapefruit, red apple and strawberry notes with long textural palate and crisp acid finish combing to create an elegant and versatile wine.
50% wild ferment in French oak along with 50% stainless steel ferment.

“Salmon-pink in the glass. Aromas of cooked strawberry, citrus and sweet pastry. Red fruit driven and creamy in flavour, textured and with plenty of personality. Crunchy acidity and some phenolic grip rounds it out nicely.”
“Most of the fruit comes from Tumbarumba and is pinot gris dominant (60%). It’s a pale red-coppery blush, and while it’s fragrant with florals and spice, the palate is textural and delicious. Sweet white peaches, poached pears dusted with ginger powder and finger lime pop to the acidity.”
“This is a blend of 4 cool-climate sourced Pinot varieties, namely Gris, Noir, Meunier & Blanc.
The onion-skin, light apricot colour leads to an initial Pinot Gris driven nose and palate channeling pears, wafts of strawberry and quince.
Grippy acid presence seamlessly supports the fruit-driven mid-palate.
This versatile blend is an easy-to-drink, pleasant & enjoyable Rose, smoothly slurpable by itself but would also complement fresh shellfish & Asian greens salads.”
